Sandycove Acres welcomes Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities to Innisfil

The Shareholders of Sandycove Acres Limited confirm that the community of Sandycove Acres, located in the Town of Innisfil, will be sold to Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities of Wasaga Beach, with head office in Calgary, Alberta.  Parkbridge is a vibrant company which is the largest owner and manager of land lease communities in Canada.  The company brings a wealth of knowledge to its involvement in Sandycove Acres.

The strength of Sandycove Acres and indeed its' heart, has always been the residents.  From the inception of the community in 1971, the residents have brought their talent and energy to Sandycove.  You have organized and participated in thousands of events and activities over the years.   You have volunteered both within Sandycove and in the larger community of Innisfil.  You have made recommendations as to the betterment of the community.   You have worked with management to make Sandycove the community that it is.  We are confident that none of that will change going forward.   We thank you for that.

We are satisfied that under the new ownership, the energies of Sandycovers combined with the new ideas emanating from Parkbridge management will only advance the lifestyle available here in Sandycove Acres.

Thank you for posting the announcement on the Blog. Sandycove residents have been hearing bits and pieces pertaining to the sale.
I know many of the residents are anticipating and hopeful for a Sandycove community meeting, hopefully including the new owners so that further details may be shared and any potential questions may be asked.

We would be hopeful that any changes to which Parkbridge may introduce would be with positive result. As it is often said....there is always room for improvement!

Looking forward of more to come.

  2. Your comments are what each and every resident is thinking at this time!
It is always difficult accepting changes and we tend to cozy up to the ways and lifestyles we have been used to but change is always good.
We are looking forward to what Parkbridge can bring to our community and make it even a better place to live.
We wish the Rice and Robertson families nothing but the best in the future endeavors and thank them for wonderful lifestyle community their fathers created in Sandycove Acres over the past 41 years.
We also hope the community continues to embrace it's uniqueness and will support the new Management in making this a special community to live in.
Thank you Rice and Robertsons' for the memories and welcome Parkbridge to Sandycove Acres.

  3. Hello there to our fellow "Natter" readers.

There seems to have been a lull with the Blog postings, so I thought I would kick something off for 2014.

For those of us Sandycovers that have not ventured to somewhere warm and sunny, we hope you are enjoying the first two months of 2014!

We continue to admire and enjoy the wildlife that country living has to offer....our personal favourite is the gathering of wild turkeys that come and dine in our back yard two to three times each day......quite entertaining!

There have been many social activities taking place with more to come, and we do try to attend as often as we can. There is nothing like a good afternoon or evening with friends! ......a little wine doesn't hurt either!

Some transitional administrative activities with Parkbridge, Sandycove's new owners appear to have gotten under way, and we are looking forward of the opportunity to meet the "new team".

We hope our fellow Sandycovers continue to enjoy the winter season, and just remember,,,,,Spring is right around the corner....thank goodness!

Keep enjoying blogging on "The Natter".

    Hayley & Stacey Morning
